Aos 87 anos, Little Richard deixou o plano físico.
O inovador fez parte da primeira turma do Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, entrou no Songwriters Hall of Fame e, entre outras condecorações, viu quatro trabalhos da sua autoria entrar Hall of Fame dos GRAMMYs: o álbum de estreia Here’s Little Richard e as canções “Tutti Frutti“, “Long Tall Sally” e “Lucille“.

I don’t know if this is canon, but I remember seeing something about how Little Richard played up the flamboyancy so that white crowds would see him as less of a “threat.” He’s a top tier legend, but u know he had to jump through hoops even as a massive talent cuz…’murica. #RIP

A couple weeks ago I randomly decided to read up on the legendary Little Richard on wiki. I learned then about how he developed The Beatles and saved The Rolling Stones pic.twitter.com/lUEvYG1Mew

RIP Little Richard, the inventor of almost every innovation and eccentric idea that we hold sacred. The Beatles, Stones, James Brown, Bowie, Hendrix, Prince, Young Thug, are all his sons.
This 20-minute interview on SF TV circa '84 is just incredible.https://t.co/Yvqvq7qjFr pic.twitter.com/5nyHGmaBjP

such a powerful moment when you make a study of early rock’n’roll and land on Little Richard, how his incredible energy suddenly makes the music of his contemporaries seem small. this comp scrambled my brain as a kid. RIP https://t.co/4kjZhv02BX
