Grammys 2017: Chance The Rapper, De La Soul e Kanye West na corrrida pelo melhor álbum rap do ano

A lista de nomeados para a edição de 2017 dos Grammys  foi revelada hoje e os grandes nomes emergem: Drake e Kanye West a representarem o hip hop com 8 nomeações cada, sendo apenas ultrapassados por Beyoncé (9 nomeações) e igualados por Rihanna (8 nomeações).

As categorias de rap dividem-se em quatro campos: Best Rap Performance com Chance The Rapper em “No Problem” acompanhado por Lil Wayne e 2 Chainz, “Panda” por Desiigner, “Pop Style” de Drake com The Throne (Jay-Z e Kanye West), “All The Way Up” por Fat Joe e Remy Ma com a companhia de French Montana e Infared e, para finalizar, Schoolboy Q com Kanye West em “That Part”; Best Rap/Sung Performance com Beyoncé e Kendrick Lamar a partilharem “Freedom”, “Hotline Bling” por Drake, D.R.A.M e Lil Yachty com “Brocolli”, “Ultralight Beam” e “Famous” de Kanye West fecham esta categoria; Best Rap Song tem como nomeados “Famous” (Kanye West), “Hotline Bling” (Drake), “Ultralight Beam” (Kanye West), “All The Way Up” (Fat Joe & Remy Ma) e “No Problem” (Chance The Rapper).

Os nomeados para melhor álbum rap trazem a grande diversidade que se respira neste género em particular: The Life of Pablo e VIEWS são trabalhos megalómanos de dois dos maiores artistas contemporâneos. Major Key é um autêntico produto musical com um elenco de estrelas. Coloring Book é a primeira obra com distribuição grátis nos Grammys. Blank Face LP representa o selo de qualidade da TDE a ir para além de Kendrick Lamar e De La Soul consumam o regresso em grande com a nomeação de And the Anonymous Nobody.
