Os australianos The Avalanches são os mais recentes convidados do programa Essential Mix da BBC, regressando aos “maiores gira discos do mundo” década e meia depois da última e hoje mítica passagem por essa plataforma para que já contribuíram vários dos maiores nomes do djing mundial.
Como seria de esperar tendo em conta a abordagem criativa ao sampling que os Avalanches possuem – e que volta a estar em evidência no novíssimo Wildflower – a mix está apoiada numa vasta e ecléctica selecção musical que percorre o caminho que existe entre Edan e Sun Ra ou entre Black Milk e Paul McCartney ou ainda entre Madlib e Frank Zappa.
